Green Chili Pickle

  • Green chili pickle, a fiery and tangy condiment, is a popular addition to Indian meals. Made with fresh green chilies, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, turmeric, and a blend of aromatic spices, this pickle is preserved in oil and vinegar. The vibrant green chilies are often slit and stuffed with a spice mix, giving them an intense, spicy flavor that pairs perfectly with the tangy sourness. Ideal as a side dish, green chili pickle adds a bold, zesty kick to simple dishes like dal, rice, and parathas, enhancing their flavor and making each meal a bit more exciting.

Required Ingredients:

  • Green Chili - 250 g or 0.551 pounds

  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of coriander powder

  • 1 teaspoon of crushed mustard powder

  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder

  • 1 teaspoon of salt (or salt to taste, but I have given you the ideal amount)

  • add 1/2 teaspoon of amchoor powder for a bit of sour flavor

  • Our last and most important ingredient is mustard oil. Without mustard oil, you cannot achieve the traditional taste of pickles or get the special flavor of the pickle."

Method of making

  • "Mix all the spices and chilies together. The quantities are given above."

  • "Use 7 to 10 teaspoons of mustard oil, or adjust the quantity as per your requirement."
