Khoya Burfi (Mava Burfi) Or Reduced Dry Milk
Khoya burfi, also known as mawa burfi, is a traditional Indian sweet made from khoya (reduced milk), sugar, and flavored with cardamom. This rich and creamy dessert is often garnished with nuts like almonds and pistachios, and sometimes a hint of saffron for an extra touch of luxury. Khoya burfi is popular during festivals and special occasions, celebrated for its melt-in-the-mouth texture and delectable taste.
Ingredients Required in Making Khoya Burfi
250g Khoya (Reduced dry milk)
100 to 150 g of Sygar
2 Cardamom
Method of making Khoya Burfi
To make khoya burfi, add 150 g of sugar and 250 g of khoya (reduced dry milk) to a pan.
Keep stirring the mixture on a low flame until the khoya and sugar melt properly.
After the khoya and sugar have melted, you can increase the flame to medium.
After that, the mixture will start to leave the pan slightly, and when you stir the mixture, you will see a thin transparent layer on the surface.
It means our khoya burfi will set properly.
Now Turn off the flame.
Apply butter to the plate so the burfi won't stick.
Now transfer the mixture to the plate and let it set for 14 to 15 hours or overnight.
Enjoy your burfi.
